The stone

Moldavite is a green natural glass formed about 15 million years ago, when a meteorite struck what is now southern Germany. It is found only in the Czech Republic. This piece comes from Chlum.

Authenticity

We buy rough directly at source. The backlit photos show the stone's natural internal structure: bubbles, swirls and flow lines that glass imitations can't copy. Every piece is covered by our authenticity guarantee.

Design and making

Designed by Lauren at TLALLI. Each rough stone is chosen by hand, and its form is drawn out for that stone alone: what it will become, where it is carved in the round or in relief, and where the natural moldavite is left untouched. It is then hand-carved in Indonesia by one of the independent carvers we have worked with for over ten years, working side by side on every piece. One of a kind: this exact piece will not be repeated.
